When going to any country for Studying, Working, or sometimes a trip it is important to get a cell phone plan in that country. Getting a cell phone plan might seem complicated especially if there is a language barrier. Canada has some pricey phone plans, far more expensive than Europe as travelers have stated. If you are coming to Canada, my number one recommendation is to receive all your cell phone needs from the stores T-Booth Wireless and Wireless Wave. Both of these stores are from the same company and they both provide the same services and plans. In Canada, there are many telecommunication companies; Bell, Rogers, Fido, and Virgin Mobile.

T-Booth and Wireless Wave works with Bell, Rogers, Fido, and Virgin so you may choose from any of those companies plans depending on your needs and price preferences. T-Booth Wireless and Wireless Wave provide great customer service, they pay attention to the customer's needs, and greatly help people of all ages, students, and travelers. When coming to Canada, make sure your phone is "Unlocked" so that a new SIM Card can be put into your phone. If you are coming to Canada with a Work or Study Permit, you will be able to get a PostPaid Plan these plans are paid for at the end of each month. They typically come with unlimited or lots of "Talk Time" and Unlimited texting, you will have options for how much Data you want.

If you are coming to Canada for a week or two, there is an option of getting a PrePaid plan. These plans are paid for at the beginning of each month. These plans last one month but are generally cheap and can only be used for your stay in Canada.

T-Booth and Wireless Wave also sell mobile accessories; headphones, cables, speakers, cell phone cases, and More! Both of these stores can be found in Shopping Malls all across Canada! Mostly all Provinces in Canada provide the same cell phone plans, but Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Quebec have cheaper plans compared to the rest of Canada.

Important Tips!!!

- There are no "Unlimited Data Plans" in Canada that only have data. Having a large amount of Data in your Canadian Plan could also be very expensive. (Generally, in Canada there is free Wifi in shopping malls, restaurants, coffee shops, in any workplace, and at schools or Universities.)

- If you are not a Canadian Citizen, you can not buy a new cell phone from any company. You must bring your own cell phone with you.

- When going to get a Canadian phone plan, make sure to always bring your Passport, and Work or Study Permit papers if you are in Canada to study or work. These documents are mandatory.

- Make sure to "Unlock" your phone before coming to Canada, check with the cell phone provider in your country to see if your phone is locked or not. Generally, cell phones that are bought in 2018 or sooner do not need to be "unlocked" but I strongly suggest to check.

***Please discuss your needs and wants for your phone plan with a T-Booth Wireless or Wireless Wave associate. Prices and plans may differ depending on your province, needs, travel circumstances, and provider.***
